This week sees the release of Sunny Leone's second Bollywood venture JACKPOT along with Dimple Kapadia's WHAT THE FISH and the prominent Hollywood release THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG. While expectations from the two Hindi films were minimal and business expected to be on the lower side, the start at the BO has been all but good.
JACKPOT has opened on a less than average note, while WHAT THE FISH has been a non-starter. On the other hand, the Hollywood biggie, THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG, has opened rather well and is expected to dominate the domestic BO.
Clearly, there is a lull before the storm, with everyone waiting for the much-anticipated DHOOM-3 which releases next week.
