After the previous weeks releases turning out to be slow performers all eyes have been awaiting the release of the Akshay Kumar starrer BABY. With two films releases over 2015's first extended weekend, expectation are at an all-time high.
Reports suggest that BABY heralds the return of ace story teller Neeraj Pandey, best known for his previous film A WEDNESDAY, with Akshay Kumar who has previously worked with him in SPECIAL 26. While the film has opened to a good response, the other release DOLLY KI DOLI featuring Sonam Kapoor has got off to a rather sluggish start. However being a four day weekend both films have ample amount of time to entice the audience.
On the whole, while BABY that has received glowing reviews from the audience and critics alike will dominate the weekend, DOLLY KI DOLI that also has been appreciated by the critics will have to rely on good word of mouth to compete with BABY. Apart from these two films, though last week's Bollywood releases have long since faded, the Hollywood release TAKEN 3 and THEORY OF EVERYTHING continue to run in selected screens.
