While last week it was Hollywood that was ruling over Bollywood, this week we see the release of ABCD 2, the sequel to the dance drama ABCD, starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. Being a solo release and considering the much hyped promotions of the film, let's see if the film manages to entertain the audiences this week.
According to the reports coming in from all quarters of the country, ABCD 2 has opened on an excellent note with an occupancy rate of about 70 to 80 percent in the morning shows. Due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai, the occupancy rates of the morning shows for ABCD 2 in the city are as less as 30 percent which is eventually expected to increase in the evening. On the other hand, despite being the first day of Ramzan, ABCD 2 is faring well in North India. Moreover, ABCD 2 is a family entertainer with a huge fan following amongst kids, because of which the film is expected to do better business during the weekends.
All in all, ABCD 2 will be ruling the roost this week. As far as the previous releases are concerned, JURASSIC WORLD is still holding strong considering its fan base while DIL DHADAKNE DO is gradually moving out of theatres with only few multiplexes featuring the shows of the film.
