Five Hindi films opened today -- MOD, AAZAAN, MY FRIEND PINTO, MUJHSE FRAAANDSHIP KAROGE and JO DOOBA SO PAAR -- and the opening and noon show figures of all films were extremely poor across the country. MUJHSE FRAAANDSHIP KAROGE had a slightly better start -- around 15% to 20% -- while AAZAAN was slightly better at some single screens, but the overall scenario was poor.
The pre-Diwali phase is considered dull as far as film business goes and the poor opening, therefore, doesn't come as a surprise.
