B.O. update: ‘1920 – Evil Returns’ starts well, ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ is slow

1920 - EVIL RETURNS garnered a healthier start at the ticket window, with certain mass pockets opening to 50% to 60% occupancy, which is a damn good sign for a film that doesn't boast of 'star names'. The multiplexes were slightly lower, but the overall figures were encouraging. The brand 'Vikram Bhatt', whose last release RAAZ 3 was a massive hit, added to the hype for 1920 - EVIL RETURNS, besides the eye-catching promos of the film, of course.

LUV SHUV TEY CHICKEN KHURANA had a tepid start everywhere, with the morning and noon show numbers being shockingly low at several places. The business should improve by evening/night, since the word of mouth is positive. The remaining releases were extremely poor.

The Bond movie, SKYFALL, which opened on Thursday, witnessed impressive numbers in South India, while the business in North India was comparatively lower. However, the word of mouth is extremely mixed.
