Tiger 3 showed good jump on Saturday as Rs. 6 crores* came in. On Friday the film had collected Rs. 3.50 crores* so from the percentage growth perspective this is quite good. Yes, if one looks at the absolute numbers then ideally in the third weekend too a biggie like Tiger 3 should be getting a double-digit score on at least Saturday and Sunday. While this hasn’t happened on Saturday, chances are bleak that it would happen on Sunday either since a big jump has already come over Friday which was as it is on the lower side.
That said, the fact remains that the film is still collecting. Otherwise, had it been completely rejected than it would have been over and out at the very start of the third week. That’s not happening thankfully for the film and then absence of any competition whatsoever is further ensuring that the Maneesh Sharma directed film is continuing to gather footfalls which are respectable. In fact, the weekend trend so far indicates the weekdays won’t go down too much and at least Rs. 10-12 crores more will come in.
The film has now collected Rs. 263.50 crores* already and this Saturday jump has ensured that Rs. 270 crores mark will be crossed today itself. Also, the film now also has a shot at Rs. 290 crores lifetime total, which looked difficult during the weekdays gone by. Yes, the film has not met massive expectations but then eventually when the list of top grossers of 2023 will be listed, it will find itself comfortably placed amongst the Top-10.
*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
