After much talk and promotions the film opened on a good note, with audience venturing to theatres despite the rains. In fact, the business of the film started off on a better than expected note, with footfalls increasing over evening and night shows.

Currently, Satyaprem Ki Katha which enjoys a four day extended weekend continues to draw in the audience. In fact, trade predictions state that with the festivities of Eid the business of the film is highly likely to see immense growth over its opening weekend. Advance estimates state that Satyaprem Ki Katha could near the Rs. 50 cr mark by the end of its opening weekend.
