Satyaprem Ki Katha has taken a good start at the box office in India though the collections benefited from the Bakri Eid Holiday. According to early estimates, Satyaprem Ki Katha has collected in the range of Rs. 8.75 to 9.75 crores. The film was very good in the three national chains - PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis - however, the single screens were not upto the mark.
The three chains collected Rs 5.50 crores on day one, whereas non-nationals put in another Rs. 3.50 crores. The film is carrying decent audience report which should result in a good hold in collections on Friday with a big spike towards the night shows. A Friday showing less than a 20 percent drop will be a great sign for the future prospects of Satyaprem Ki Katha.
The movie has opened better than the last Kartik Aaryan film, Shehzada, and the opening is in sync with a normal Kartik Aaryan film range - be it Lukka Chuppi, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Love Aaj Kal 2 or Pati Patni Aur Woh.
The opening is also in the same range as Kiara Advani's June 2022 release, Jug Jugg Jeeyo, and if the film trends similar to the rom-com, it would be headed towards a finish of Rs. 80 crore.
