The SS Rajamouli directed film RRR released on Friday to a welcoming response from the critics and audience alike. Starring Ram Charan, Jr. NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn the film opened on a good note and saw immense growth in collections over its opening weekend in both the domestic and overseas markets alike.
In the overseas market of United States of America, RRR that saw a release across 1200 screens has managed to draw in a staggering 9.26 mil. USD [Rs. 65.09 cr.] over its opening weekend alone. Similarly at Canada box office, the film which hit a total of 29 screens has managed to draw in a further Rs. 5.46 cr. in three days. Not surprisingly in both territories RRR ranks third on the list of weekend grosser.
As of now, RRR continues to run in both markets, with trade predicting that the business of the film will see further growth over its first week. In fact, estimates state that if the business of RRR maintains its current momentum it could easily rank as one of the highest grossers of the year.
