After releasing on Thursday, Mahashivratri, Roohi has now concluded its extended first week. The film brought in Rs. 1.02 crore more on its second Thursday and with that the collections have reached Rs. 17.43 crores.
The Dinesh Vijan production would go down in history as the first Bollywood film that took it upon itself to release post relaxation amidst pandemic, and eventually managed to bring in audiences back to theatres. Of course, the numbers may not indicate a hit here but given the fact that it is the only one to be at least set for a total of over Rs. 20 crores and that too when not many were giving it much of a chance prior to release, it is a mini win of sorts.
A start has finally been made at the box office and now it’s upon Mumbai Saga to take it forward from this week onwards. Given the star power of John Abraham in a Sanjay Gupta film, the onus is now on the gangster drama to further bring in momentum at theatres.
