It was yet another big day for Pathaan as Rs. 13 crores more came in. It is remarkable that the film is still collecting in double digits and that too when this is the close of the third weekend. That said, practically this is the last day in the film’s run when it has scored in double digits since coming Friday sees the arrival of Shehzada and it would be the Kartik Aaryan starrer that will fetch all the attention. Moreover, as it is Pathaan has seen a massive run, hence even a normal 50% drop would take it close to the Rs. 5 crores range next Sunday.
That said, we are still a week ahead from that and what matters is how the film is doing currently. Well, the Shah Rukh Khan led action thriller is well on course to hit the Rs. 500 crores mark in next few days itself. It has already collected Rs. 489.05 crores and if all goes as per plan then the Rs. 500 Crore Club entry would be made by the film by Thursday. Numbers would stay between Rs. 2.5-3.5 crores range between Monday and Thursday, and post that it would be all about sustaining even in Rs. 1-2 crores range on a daily basis.
So which are the films that have it in them to challenge Pathaan lifetime in 2023? Well, even though anything can happen anytime, the ones, which would be eyeing this massive target, are Shah Rukh Khan’s own Dunki, Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and Prabhas’ Salaar. As for some other film, arriving from nowhere and doing the unthinkable, then well, it would be a pleasant surprise indeed.
