Released last year, the Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick had collected Rs. 34.50 crores in its lifetime in India. Now, in just a little over 3 days, Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning: Part One has gone past this number with style and has added a lot more already.
While the first three day collections of the film stood at Rs. 31 crores, all it needed was Rs. 3.50 crosses more to come in, something that happened by the time Saturday morning shows were through. The collections kept getting better and better as the day passed and eventually the film not just entered into double digits all over again but then added a lot more as well to eventually nett Rs. 16 crores*.
Now this is much higher than even the first day collections, and the overall four day total reads Rs. 47 crores*. The next big milestone is Rs. 50 crores which will be crossed by the time the morning shows are through. Eventually, Sunday target would be to get into Rs. 18-20 crores range which should take the film past Rs. 65 crores mark by the close of its extended five-day weekend.
