On its release, JugJugg Jeeyo managed to find fifth spot in the list of Top-5 biggest Bollywood openers so far in 2022. Now as it is progressing ahead over the weekend, it could well be challenging a couple of higher spots as well. While Bachchhan Paandey [Rs. 36.17 crores] should be crossed by the film by close of Sunday, it would be interesting to see whether Gangubai Kathiawadi [Rs. 39.12 crores] and Samrat Prithviraj [Rs. 39.40 crores], which are quite close to each other, would be surpassed as well.
All these comparisons are coming in because the Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor starrer has managed to make a case for itself on Sunday. The film soared well as collections went up from Rs. 9.28 crores to Rs. 12.55 crores, which was healthy. Of course from absolute numbers perspective, had these been the numbers that would have come on Friday itself then everyone associated with it would have cheered aloud. Still, the good news is that there is an upwards trend and that's what makes one positive around Sunday going past Rs. 15 crores mark.
So far, the film has collected Rs. 21.83 crores which means Rs. 37-38 crores are on the cards by the time the weekend is through. However, if the momentum shoots up ever more then this Raj Mehta film has in it to speed up things at the box office and get even closer to Rs. 40 crores. Yes, it would be challenging for sure and that's the reason why today's collections would be most crucial for JugJugg Jeeyo as that would also set the tone for hold that it will manage at theatres from Monday onwards.
