After immense promotions the film which has been one of the most anticipated releases of recent times opened with a bang. Following the massive spate of advance booking trade circles were buzzing with anticipation of how the film would perform at the box office. As expected, Jawan took a thunderous start with Rs. 65.50 cr coming in on its opening day.

Collecting Rs. 65.50 cr on Day 1, Jawan has emerged as the second single highest day grosser coming in just behind Shah Rukh Khan’s previous release Pathaan that had collected a staggering Rs. 70.50 cr on its second day. While Pathaan currently leads the list of all-time highest single day grossers, the opening day business of Jawan has managed to post higher collections than other releases like Gadar 2, whose highest single day collection was Rs. 55.40 cr on its fifth day, KGF – Chapter 2 that had collected Rs. 53.95 cr on its first day, and even War that had collected Rs. 53.35 cr on its opening day.
Currently, Jawan enjoys incredible trending among the audience and is expected to see its business grow exponentially.
