The multi starrer Housefull 4 released last week amid immense promotions. After opening on a good note, the business of the fourth instalment in the Housefull franchise saw good growth over its opening weekend.
In this box office report we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Housefull 4 while comparing the same to Akshay Kumar’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 53.22 cr Housefull 4 has managed to become Akshay Kumar’s sixth highest opening weekend grosser. In fact, the business of the film has surpass his previous releases like Brothers that collected Rs. 52.08 cr, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha that collected Rs. 51.45 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 50.46 cr, and Rustom that collected Rs. 50.42 cr. However, the collections of Housefull 4 do not manage to out beat Akshay’s others releases like Mission Mangal that collected Rs. 97.56 cr (extended 4 day weekend), Kesari that collected Rs. 78.07 cr (extended 4 day weekend), Gold that collected Rs. 70.05 cr, Singh Is Bliing that collected Rs. 54.55 cr, and Housefull 3 that collected Rs. 53.31 cr.
Currently, Housefull 4 still runs in theatres and is expected to see an increase in collections over the coming days. In fact, with Monday and Tuesday being holidays in certain regions, expectations are that the business of the film will see a massive increase.
