It was a decent Sunday for Game Changer (Hindi) as Rs. 9.52 crores came in. On Friday, the film had opened at Rs. 8.64 crores, on Saturday it stayed around the same levels at Rs. 8.43 crores and now even on Sunday the collections are more or less on the same lines. As a result, the overall total stands at Rs. 26.59 crores.
Had the film got into double digits on Saturday itself and then grown similarly on Sunday as well, then it would have been an even better scenario for the film. Apart from the fact that the weekend numbers would have been around Rs. 30 crores, the film would also have breezed past the Rs. 50 crores mark by second weekend. Right now, it’s going to be a wait and watch scenario and it has to be seen when does the film score a half century.
Merits of the Ram Charan film warrant that it does much better than how it’s doing currently. Shankar has genuinely made a good movie here and the twists and turns, especially centred on the political and administration drama, are actually pretty engaging. Today being Sankranti, there is some sort of benefit that the film can have due to partial holiday. That should ensure that it crosses Rs. 30 crores mark today.
