Ek Villain Returns is steady on the second day as the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 7.20 to Rs 7.60 crores. Its a jump of around 7% to 10% on Saturday, and with this, the 2-day total of the Mohit Suri film stands at Rs. 14.60 crores. The movie stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria in lead roles.
The film stayed flat in the mass belts, whereas the multiplexes jumped by 7%, which has lead to an overall jump in business. Being a mass film, this was expected, however, a rather steady Saturday has made the Sunday growth very important. Ek Villain Returns is expected to jump by 15% on Sunday and this should take the opening weekend total to Rs. 24 crores.
The weekend biz will pack a decent punch, and then like always, it will all depend on crucial Monday test. A Monday upside of Rs. 3.25 crores will be decent and put the film in the race to collect Rs. 50 crores in the lifetime run. The weekend biz of Ek Villain Returns will be higher than lifetime collections of bigger starcast films like Jersey, Runway 34, Heropanti 2, Jayeshbhai Jordaar to name a few.
