The Rajkumar Hirani directorial Dunki starring Shah Rukh Khan hit screens last month in December. Since then the film, which was one of the most anticipated releases of 2023, has been unstoppable at the box office. With positive reviews and strong audience feedback, the business of Dunki in both the domestic and international markets has seen immense growth. In fact, after nearly two weeks at the box office, Dunki has managed to cross the Rs. 400 cr mark, making its entry into the list of top 10 highest worldwide grossers of 2023.

Though the business of the film does not surpass previous release like Jawan that collected Rs. 1148.32 cr, Pathaan that collected Rs. 1050.3 cr, Animal that collected Rs. 887.69 cr, Gadar 2 that collected Rs. 691.08 cr, and Tiger 3 that had collected Rs. 466.63 cr , it does manage to fare better than certain other releases. In fact, Dunki has managed to surpass releases like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani that collected Rs. 355.61 cr, The Kerala Story that collected Rs. 303.97 cr, OMG 2 that collected Rs. 221.08 cr, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar that had colleced Rs. 220.1 cr.
As of now, Dunki that continues to run in theatres is more than likely to see another spurt of growth over the coming weekend. In fact, trade predictions state that the business of the film could close the gap to the Rs. 450 cr mark by the end of the next weekend.
