The Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 2 which hit screens last week has been doing well. After receiving positive reviews from the audience and critics, the film has been unstoppable. In fact, Drishyam 2 which came with immense expectations attached has managed to live up to the same, managing to cross the Rs. 60 cr. mark within just three days of its release. Now, the film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, and Shreya Saran, seems to be continuing its march at the box office.
As per reports, after enjoying a money-spinning opening weekend, the business of Drishyam 2 has seen a drop of 25% on its first Monday running. Keeping in line with conventional releases, the film has seen the customary decline in business, which coincides with the beginning of the workweek. However, despite this drop, the business of Drishyam 2 is expected to maintain its momentum with a double-digit figure of around Rs. 11 cr. mark being registered on Day 4.
Currently, Drishyam 2 continues as the audiences’ first choice in theatres, despite the plethora of films that have hit screens before it. As per trade estimates, Drishyam 2 which has seen a wide release, will continue to see collections coming in, and it will come as no surprise if the business of the film manages to near the Rs. 100 cr. mark by the end of its first week in theatres.
