Dhurandhar has taken a good start at the box office with collections to the tune of Rs. 28.60 crores. Till about a week back it seemed like the film will take a start of Rs. 20-22 crores and by the time Friday morning started, momentum in advance booking suggested that even Rs. 24 crores would be possible. However, the predictions needle never moved to Rs. 27-28 crores range and it’s to the credit of the movie and the spot bookings that took place that the collections have grown to this extent.

This is in fact one of the best opening days of the year and it could well have been termed very good to excellent. However, since it’s a very high budget film with a hefty price tag to it, the opening is good and now it can become very good to excellent if collections today and tomorrow could oscillate to Rs. 35-40 crores zone.
Reports for the film are good which means there would be very good growth evidence during the weekend. What would matter though is how this Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar film holds well during the weekdays and if it manages to stay on top of the 15 crores mark on each of these days well then it would be game on for Dhurandhar.
