The Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil released back in 2017, but the film hit screens in China just a day ago. Despite the promotions the film took off to a rather slow start at the China box office. Though Hrithik himself was in China promoting the film, Kaabil unlike previous Bollywood films in this market seems to have underperformed.
Kaabil managed to draw in just USD 0.62 million [Rs. 4.29 cr] on its opening day [previews included]. Though considerably lower than previous releases at the China box office the film still manages to feature on the daily highest grossers list in this market. In fact, Kaabil has claimed the fifth spot on the list.
Currently, though the business of Kaabil which opened slowly, is expected to see an increase in collections as the weekend draws near. However, the film will have to rely heavily on positive word of mouth to be able to post decent collections.
