The Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma starrer Sultan has been creating record breaking success worldwide. The film has collected approximately 17.46 mil. USD [Rs. 117 cr] at the close of week one in overseas, while in India it has earned Rs. 229.16 crores at the close of Week 1.
As per recent reports, Sultan has collected approximately Rs. 435 crores worldwide and not surprisingly, made it to the list of Top Worldwide grossers in a span of few days surpassing Shah Rukh Khan's last blockbuster Chennai Express which collected Rs. 425 cr worldwide. On the other hand, the top position is still held by PK which has made about Rs. 729 crore, followed by another Eid release of Salman Khan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) which collected Rs. 629 crore.
What needs to be seen now is if it can break into Top 3 by surpassing Dhoom 3 whose total collection amount upto Rs. 587 crores worldwide.
