The Milap Zaveri directed film Satyameva Jayate hit screens yesterday. Starring John Abraham, Manoj Bajpayee and Aisha Sharma, the film hit a total of 3500 screens in India. After receiving good reviews from the critics, the film was well received by the audience as well.

Though the business of the film does not manage to surpass the opening day collections of previous releases like Sanju that collected Rs. 34.75 cr, Race 3 that collected Rs. 28.50 cr, Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 25.10 cr, Padmaavat that collected Rs. 24 cr and Gold that collected 25.25 cr, it does manage to out beat the collections of other releases like Veere Di Wedding that collected Rs. 10.70 cr, Pad Man that collected Rs. 10.26 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 10.04 cr, and Raazi that collected Rs. 7.53 cr.
Currently dominating in single screen and mass dominated sectors Satyameva Jayate is expected to see even further growth over the coming few days. With an extended weekend run at the box office all that remains to be seen is whether the film emerges as one of the highest grosser of the year.
