Tubelight directed by Kabir Khan starring Salman Khan, Sohail Khan and Chinese actress Zhu Zhu released last week on Friday. After opening to mixed responses from both the critics and audience alike, the film that released across 5550 screens worldwide has not been performing as expected.
In this box office analysis we take a look at the collections of Tubelight within the domestic market so far while comparing the same to previous releases of 2017. Collecting Rs. 106.86 cr since its release Tubelight has now become the fifth highest grosser of 2017. While the collections of the film fail to surpass the total collections of previous releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 510.18 cr, Raees that collected Rs. 137.51 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 117 cr and Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 116.68 cr.
On the other hand, Tubelight does manage to surpass the collections of other releases like the Hithik Roshan starrer Kaabil that had collected Rs. 103.84 cr, Hindi Medium that had collected Rs. 68.76 cr, and Half Girlfriend that had collected Rs. 60.28 cr.
