The Kabir Khan directed venture Tubelight that released last week on Friday has been rather slow at the box office. Released across 5550 screens worldwide, the film that stars Salman Khan has not been performing as expected.
In this box office analysis, we take a look at the opening week collections of Tubelight within the domestic market while comparing the same to previous releases of 2017. Collecting Rs. 106.86 cr since its release, Tubelight has now become the third highest opening week grosser of 2017. While the collections of the film fail to surpass previous releases like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 247 cr, and Raees that collected Rs. 118.36 cr, it does manage to surpass other films like Kaabil that collected Rs. 82.18 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 77.71 cr and Badrinath Ki Dulhania that collected Rs. 73.66 cr and Half Girlfriend that collected Rs. 49.19 cr.
