The New Year has begun and we finally see the release of big ticket Bollywood films hitting screens. In fact both the films viz. Raees and Kaabil have been highly anticipated and much talked about. With the films starring Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan respectively hitting screens yesterday we decided to analyse their box office collections.
In this special report we take a look at the opening day collections of Raees and Kaabil while comparing them to other releases of 2017. Though this year has only witnessed only one big release in the form of Ok Jaanu that had collected Rs. 4.08 cr, Raees tops the list as the highest opening day grosser collecting Rs. 20.42 cr, while Kaabil takes the second spot collecting Rs. 10.43 cr.
Given that both Raees and Kaabil have released on Wednesday as compared to the usual Friday release, all that is left to be analysed is how much the films collect over the extended weekend.
