Raabta stayed low on Monday too as it could bring in only Rs. 2.53 crore more. The film has been released on 1820 screens which means there is a potential to gather good footfalls on a daily basis. However that is not really turning out to be the case.
The signs were there over the weekend itself when the collections just about topped the 5 crore mark on a daily basis. Between Friday [Rs. 5.61 crore] and Saturday [Rs. 5.11 cr] the collections fell though there was minor improvement on Sunday [Rs. 5.21 crore] despite India v/s South Africa ODI. However, for the Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon starrer to come up with some sort of a fight during the weekdays the need of the hour was to at least go past the Rs. 4 crore mark on Monday and then stay in that vicinity on a daily basis.
That hasn't quite happened for the film which now stands at Rs. 18.46 crore. The film will eventually enter the Top-10 Week One of 2017 so far, though one did expect better given the kind of scale that it was set and the promotional route that it took.
Behen Hogi Teri continues to be low as well. The film brought in around Rs. 30 lakhs* on Monday and though the numbers are close to what it had earned on Friday, the overall total is at Rs. 1.59 crore*. The film has brought in as much in four days as it was expected to net on its opening day.
