As expected, Mom showed an upwards trend on its second day as collections moved from Friday numbers of Rs. 2.90 crore to Rs. 5.08 crore on Saturday. This was pretty much needed as well for the film since it is a rather expensive affair and hence a flat Saturday wouldn’t have helped it case.
The film has collected Rs. 7.98 crore so far but still a lot more is needed for it to step into the safe zone. As a matter of fact jump today needs to be huge so that at least Rs. 14 crore come in once the weekend is through. This is a bare minimum need for the film so that it enjoys the first week collections in excess of Rs. 22 crore.
On the other hand Guest Iin London showed some growth too as Rs. 2.75 crore more came in on its second day. The film is finding restricted audience for itself and that is reflected in the overall collections that stand at mere Rs. 4.85 crore. The film should manage to score a weekend of around Rs. 7.50 crore but that’s about it.
All in all, a low weekend is on the cards for Bollywood as yet again it’s a Hollywood release [Spider-Man: Homecoming] which is stealing away the biggest share of the booty.
