The Saket Choudhary directed film Hindi Medium starring Irrfan Khan and Pakistani artist Saba Qamar released Friday, 19th May alongside the film Half Girlfriend. Though compared to its competitor, Hindi Medium opted for a targeted release with just 1126 screens; the film has managed to hold its own at the box office.
With positive critic reviews and good word of mouth, Hindi Medium has posted rather good opening weekend figures in both the domestic and international markets. In fact, at the worldwide box office, Hindi Medium has managed to aggregate Rs. 102.64 crores, with Rs. 90.29 cr. coming in from the domestic market and Rs. 12.35 cr. from the overseas territories.
Going by the current trend, Hindi Medium that has started on a slower note as compared to Half Girlfriend is expected to witness good growth in business over the coming days.
