The recently released Sabbir Khan directed film Heropanti that features Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, both making their debut has been doing brisk business at the ticket window. While the film has managed to survive despite stiff competition from other releases, we decided on taking an analytical view of the film's collections.
In this Box Office report, we compare the Opening Day and Opening Weekend collections of Heropanti to other films that have featured newcomers in the lead. Interestingly, Heropanti ranks second in the list, collecting Rs. 6.63 crores on its Opening Day and Rs. 21.33 crores over the Opening Weekend. The film however, lost the first spot to the 2012 release Student Of The Year that collected Rs. 7.48 crores on Opening Day and Rs. 30 crores over the Opening Weekend.
Note: While Ishaqzaade featured Arjun Kapoor making his debut, the film was Parineeti Chopra's second Bollywood venture.
