Portraying the real life story of wrestler-coach Mahavir Phogat, the much awaited Aamir Khan starrer Dangal released last week. The film, which also marks the debut of Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra, has opened to a great response in Indian as well as overseas market.
In this box office report, we will compare the collections of the recently released film with the lifetime collections of other Bollywood releases overseas in 2016. Dangal has already become the 2nd highest overseas grosser of 2016 by surpassing Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Reported collections for Dangal were pegged at 15.30 mil. USD with several screens yet to report.
What remains to be seen is if the Aamir Khan starrer can surpass the collections of the 2016’s biggest blockbuster by far, Sultan.
