Dangal starring Aamir Khan and new comers Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh released in December 2016 in India. However, in China the film directed by Nitest Tiwari which was based on the real life wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat released a few weeks ago. Ever since hitting screens in China, Dangal has been on a roll at the box office, blowing past previously established records while continuing to rake in the moolah.
Now, on its nineteenth day at the Chinese box office Dangal has managed to draw in a further 3.07 mil. USD [Rs. 19.93 cr]. Interestingly, though the film has seen an increase in collections over the weekends with the second weekend drawing in more than the first and the third weekend drawing in even more the second weekend, the collections of Dangal seems to be slowing down as the week progresses. However, the drop in collections from Day 18 at 3.38 mil. USD [Rs. 21.90 cr] to Day 19 at 3.07 mil. USD [Rs. 19.90 cr] does not feature a massive drop.
With this, the total box office collections of Dangal within the Chinese market currently stand at 120 mil. USD [Rs. 778.26 cr].
