The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal released just about three weeks ago in China. Ever since then the film that was directed by Nitesh Tiwari has been on a roll at the box office raking in the moolah. After crossing the Rs. 800 crore mark Dangal has managed to continue running in theatres across the border but at a much diminished rate.
Now on Day 22 the film which faced competition from the release of the latest Hollywood flick Pirates of the Caribbean – Dead Men Tell No Tales has taken a dive in collections. In fact, Dangal has managed to rake in just USD 1.88 million [Rs. 12.13 cr] on Day 22 in this market. Though the collections of Dangal seems pretty low when compared to its previous day’s collections, it has still managed to fare better than the Hollywood titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 that released alongside it which managed to pull in just USD 0.15 million.
With this the current collections of Aamir Khan’s Dangal in the Chinese market stand at USD 127.72 million [Rs. 824.31 cr].
