Border 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol joins Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh with two films each in the Rs. 300 Crore Club

With Border 2 storming past the Rs. 300 crore mark, Sunny Deol has achieved a rare box office milestone joining an elite group of actors with two films in the Rs. 300 crore club. The feat places him alongside some of Hindi cinema’s biggest modern-era performers, including Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, underlining the scale of his recent box office resurgence.

Border 2 Box Office: Sunny Deol joins Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh with two films each in the Rs. 300 Crore Club

Sunny Deol now boasts two Rs. 300 crore grossers, with Gadar 2 remaining his highest performer at Rs. 525.45 crore, followed closely by Border 2, which crossed Rs. 301.89 crore in just 10 days. This achievement is particularly significant given the actor’s long career arc, making him one of the few stars to deliver career-defining box office numbers decades after his peak era.

The Rs. 300 crore club itself remains an exclusive space. Actors like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have each delivered two films in this bracket, with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan setting a towering benchmark at Rs. 643.87 crore, while Aamir Khan’s highest stands at Rs. 387.38 crore. Ranveer Singh, too, is part of this elite with two Rs. 300 crore grossers, including the record-shattering Dhurandhar at Rs. 893.05 crore, the highest single-film figure among actors with multiple entries.

Sunny Deol’s inclusion in this league is noteworthy for another reason it reinforces the strength of legacy-driven cinema in the current box office climate. While many Rs. 300 crore films have relied on pan-India spectacle or franchise universes, Deol’s recent successes have been powered by emotion, nostalgia and mass connect, themes that have resonated strongly across single screens and multiplexes alike.

The wider list further highlights how rare, sustained success at this level truly is. Salman Khan leads the tally with three Rs. 300 crore films, while several major stars including Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Allu Arjun and Ahaan Panday currently have one film each in the club, despite massive individual highs. That Sunny Deol has now matched Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in the count places his recent run in sharp perspective.

With Border 2 still holding strong at the box office, Sunny Deol’s standing as one of Hindi cinema’s most bankable stars has been firmly re-established. More than just a numerical milestone, his entry into the two-film Rs. 300 crore club signals a rare and remarkable phase a veteran actor not merely returning to relevance but competing at the very top of the modern box office hierarchy.
