BO Report Card: Grand Masti becomes 5th Highest Grosser of 2013 :Bollywood Box Office

While the highest grossing films at the BO have mainly been big starrer films, Grand Masti surprised one and all in the film business by making it into that list. Though Bollywood has been always been cashing in on sex content, the adult comedy genre films remained underdogs, until now. But Grand Masti, after a record breaking Opening Weekend, became the first Adult Comedy to collect Rs. 80.05 crores and is still running successfully at the cinema halls.

While on one end we have big stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor ruling the top two positions on the top grossers list, Grand Masti, with a star cast of Vivek, Aftab and Riteish, have also managed to jump on the fifth position on the list.

Proving Adult Comedy to be the flavour of the season, it wonâ€™t be a surprise to see Grand Masti enter the 100 crore club in next few days. Looking at the business it is generating in the theatres, the film will also climb up to a higher ranking on the chart.
