The much-talked-about and keenly anticipated film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released last week on Friday. Directed by Anees Bazmee the film which also featured Kiara Advani took off on a good note with Rs. 14.11 cr coming in on Day 1. Following this the business of the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production saw a good rate of collections on its opening weekend as well. In fact, on its first Monday Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 managed to hold steady with around Rs. 10 cr coming in. Now, after just 8 days of its release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 while comparing the same to Kartik Aaryan’s previous releases. Collecting Rs. 109.92 cr in 8 days Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has become Kartik’s second film to enter the much-coveted Rs. 100 cr club. Following Kartik’s earlier release Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which managed to collect Rs. 108.95 cr by the end of week 8, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has now achieved this feat within 8 days of its release. With this, the film now also ranks as Kartik Aaryan’s fastest Rs. 100 cr grosser as well.
Besides this, Kartik Aaryan will now join the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and John Abraham amongst others who each have two releases that have made it past the Rs. 100 cr mark.
Going forward, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 continues to entice the audience who are patronizing the film in droves. As per trade predictions, if the film maintains its current momentum the overall business of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 could make it to the Rs. 150 cr mark by the end of its second weekend in theatres.
