Animal Box Office: The film becomes Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s first Rs. 500 crores grosser :Bollywood Box Office

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga made his filmmaking debut with the Telugu film Arjun Reddy in 2017, which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in lead roles. The film attained instant success. His Hindi remake of that film titled Kabir Singh, with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani playing the lead cast, became a surprise blockbuster as it went onto earn Rs. 278.24 crores.

Vanga’s next Hindi venture Animal, which released earlier this month, has surpassed his earlier film with a huge margin by entering the rare Rs. 500 Crores Club. The Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor starrer has so far earned a mammoth Rs. 514.09 crores in just 17 days. This has also ensured that Vanga has made his debut in the rare Rs. 500 Crores Club. Plus, he has achieved this feat in just his second Hindi movie and third movie overall.

The other films in the list include Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Pathaan, Gadar 2 and Jawan. Interestingly, out of the five films to reach the Rs. 500 Crores Club (including Animal), four have released in this year itself. This speaks volumes about how strongly mainstream Bollywood has bounced back this year after a lacklustre 2022.

Produced by T-Series, Cine1 Studios and Bhadrakali Pictures, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri.
