Ranbir Kapoor's action-based family drama is continuing to hold strong at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film has collected in the range of Rs. 11.50 to 12.50 crores in Hindi, taking the total collections to Rs. 400 crore. On an All India level, the 11-day total of Animal stands around the Rs. 445 crore range.
Animal is on a record-breaking spree at the box office in India and the film will enter the Rs. 500 crore club by the end of its 3rd weekend, which speaks volumes about the kind of business this film is doing at the box office. The numbers are coming in despite a clash with Sam Bahadur as well as the limited showcasing on account of 3 hour 21-minute run time.
To add to the challenges, the film also has an A Certificate and that has also alienated it from the family audience. Strictly speaking on the word-of-mouth front, Animal is easily the most loved film of 2023 as the numbers have come in on a non-holiday with all the challenges and a relatively controversial take from a certain section of the media.
Animal is holding steady like a rock and is not looking to stop anytime soon as the film will hold showcasing even in the Christmas week, despite the release of Dunki and Salaar.
