Krayon Pictures’ next – Ashwatthama, Delhi Safari in 3D stereoscopic

Seems like stereoscopy is the next big trend hitting India!

Riding high on the fame of making yet to release Nikhil Advani's animation film Delhi Safari, Pune based Krayon Pictures and India's ace artist Vijay Raut are soon expected to join hands together to make 3D stereoscopic film based on Guru Dronacharya's son Ashwatthama, titled as 3198 A.D. Ashwatthama's Revenge.

While Krayon has created a three minute promo, the studio is still skeptical about the film because as per the information shared by them, the pact has not been 'officially signed' but they are keen and have interest to work further on it.

Apart from this new project, the studio is also converting its 3D animated film Delhi Safari into 3D stereoscopic format. "We wanted to release the movie globally and it was important for us to convert it into stereoscopic as per the global trend. We are already in the process of re-rendering the whole film for second eye." Informed Nishith Takia, Co-Founder - Director at Krayon Pictures.

Vijay Raut, who also runs his own entertainment company Kook Entertainment, tells about Ashwatthama's Revenge, "This 90 minutes feature tells a futuristic story of the legendary battle between good and evil, which started 6000 years ago on earth. It re-appears in a different but dystrophic form in the year 3198 AD when most of the continents have submerged underwater. Humans have advanced beyond race, colour, religions and nationalities. It is set in an era of inter galactic communication, travel and exploration, under water townships, space cities, floating cities etc."

Budgeted at INR 40 crores, film's three minute promo looks extremely gripping and fascinating which showcases the character and environments giving the look and feel of the movie. According to the sources, the initial funding is being done by the duo jointly but they are still scouting for the producers.

"Feature's concept which we have is extremely strong and would appeal to audiences across generations, globally. It would be more liked by the people who are aware about the Indian epic Mahabharta and also work as a story teller and guide to epic, for others. I have developed the concept and story whereas we are expecting Krayon to be the studio responsible to create it in 3D stereoscopy and share their technical expertise" shared Raut.

Vijay Raut is an art Graduate from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied art Mumbai with merit has been associated in Art and Animation Industry from past 23 years. He was the president of India's oldest art society - Bombay Art Society from Feb-2004 to April-2010.
