Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Movie Review Synopsis:
TU MERI MAIN TERA MAIN TERA TU MERI is the story of opposites attract. Rehaan Mehra aka Ray (Kartik Aaryan), is the son of eminent wedding planner Pinky (Neena Gupta). Both are based in the USA with Ray being a complete mama's boy. He goes on a vacation to Croatia where he meets Rumi Vardhan (Ananya Panday), an Agra-based writer. She resides in her ancestral home with her sister Jia (Chandni Bhabhda) and father Colonel Amar Wardhan Singh (Jackie Shroff). At first, Ray and Rumi detest each other but they soon fall in love. Ray even dreams of marrying Rumi. However, Jia is all set to get hitched to Sukhi (Mohit Nehra) and will settle with him in Canada. Amar is ageing and if Rumi moves to the USA with Ray, there will be no one to take care of the former. Hence, Rumi breaks up with Ray. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Movie Story Review:
Karan Shrikant Sharma's story is relatable. Karan Shrikant Sharma's screenplay is pretty engaging from start to finish. But the writer has its share of loose ends as well. Karan Shrikant Sharma's dialogues are smart and witty, but in many places, the funny one-liners don't land as intended.
Sameer Vidwans' direction is decent. To give credit where it's due, he has mounted the film on a huge scale and extracted the best job from the technical team. The chemistry between the leads is sparkling, while the track of the parents is the best part of the film. The finale is unconventional but also sweet and progressive. Lastly, there's so much happening that one doesn't feel bored or restless even for a moment.
On the flipside, the humour doesn't work in the first half. In fact, there are hardly any jokes that evoke laughter pre-interval. It also gives a strong deja vu of TU JHOOTHI MAIN MAKKAAR (2023). Meanwhile, the happenings post-interval remind of DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE (1995) and even PIKU (2015). A few subplots like that of Mrs Bhatia (Grusha Kapoor) don't work. One expects the character of Vicky (Kabir Jai Bedi) to create drama. Shockingly, after a memorable entry, he disappears, making one wonder why he was even added in the script in the first place. Finally, the finale development is something that viewers will be able to guess from a mile away.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Movie Review Performances:
Kartik Aaryan suits the part completely. Though the writing lets him down, he ensures that he rises above the script and delivers a highly entertaining performance. Ananya Panday looks gorgeous and delivers a fabulous performance, proving that she is evolving with every film. Jackie Shroff is adorable and leaves a huge mark. Neena Gupta is adorable and only she could have pulled off this part. Chandni Bhabhda lends able support. Mohit Nehra and Grusha Kapoor are okay. Tiku Talsania (Shastri Ji) is fine but has a limited scope. Kabir Jai Bedi is wasted. Gaurav Pandey (Luv) is passable. Sapna Sand (Renu) steals the show and raises maximum laughs.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri movie music and other technical aspects:
Vishal-Sheykhar's music is well woven into the narrative. The title track is the best of the lot and is picturized vibrantly. 'Hum Dono' comes next. 'Dil Musafir' stands out due to the vocals by Lucky Ali. 'Tenu Zyada Mohabbat' and 'Mudh Ja Raahiye' are okay. The medley, consisting of popular old classics, is too good. Hitesh Sonik's background score is energetic.
Remo DSouza's choreography complements the songs. Anil Mehta's cinematography captures the breathtaking locales with panache. Anaita Shroff Adajania and Akshay Tyagi's costumes are glamorous, especially the ones worn by Kartik and Ananya. Amrita Mahal Nakai's production design is rich. Manan Ashwin Mehta's editing is slick.
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Movie Review Conclusion:
On the whole, TU MERI MAIN TERA MAIN TERA TU MERI is an urban-centric film that scores high on emotion and scale, and works largely due to the crackling chemistry between Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, along with several heartfelt moments that strike a chord. However, the humour in the first half is uneven, and a few loose ends in the writing dilute the overall impact. At the box office, the film is likely to be affected by the ongoing DHURANDHAR wave; however, the Christmas–New Year corridor (two holiday weekends) should give it enough breathing space to find its audience.
