Nice, touching and emotional movie. It is directed by Aamir Khan, who tries his hands on directing for the first time, and has handled this job very well. The story is about Ishaan, eight years old boy, who struggles at the school. His parents send him to a boarding school in order to be disciplined, which doesn’t help at all. One day, a new teacher arrives and things start changing… The topic is just so untypical for a bollywood movie, that in it should be a great advantage. All in all, a great movie for the whole family without worrying about any inappropriate scenes.

The first thing that came into my mind after I saw Ishant lifted in sky by Amir as last scene that - film is indeed a form of ART and not COMMERCE (refer money). If someone can put his heart and soul into any making, it can really make a huge difference. TZP is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Amir and Amol had a courage to pick a subject that is far from any glory or fame. But the way they have put together a classic piece of cinema is truly deserves a standing applause. The character of Ishan has been portrayed with such a strong-ness that it makes one think about the whole story which can happen to anyone's life. The scenes like the night after Ishan's parents left him in the hostel and his remembering of his mother OR even the scene between Ram and Ishan's father where he walks out without talking to Ishan are fabulous. But I've never seen such a simple but impactful climax for long time. Hats off to team. This one will be remembered for long time.... couldn't hold my tears....

Thanx Ammir that u choose a script that talks to all from grand parents to parents to be ..... with kids under so much pressure to be outstanding and parents expecting so much that kids dont behave anymore like kids they seem to talk like nerds, smarties that any so called silly behavior from an 8 or 10 year is unacceptable .. I really wish we could make each one of those who judge kids on academics to see this movie ... good to see a movie with no unnecessary love story woven around it. Atleast we have some1 who is bold enough to stand out of the pact.

Taara zameen par is a unique film. If you have never understood the logic behind what goes on in a child's mind this movie will certainly reveal each and every aspect of confusion you ever had. Its an excellent piece one of the best movies Indian cinema has ever made. When i first started watching this movie, couple of minutes i thought it would be boring. But as the story went on it felt like i am emotionally attached to this child. He was lonely and needed of support. This whole film will help each parent whether to be or become even better at understanding their child's needs. A hug a kiss always does the magic, boosts up the child's confidence, touching is one of most special part a child must perceive it helps them know that there is someone there for them even when they make mistakes. this whole movie overall points out to every parent that whether their child is clever or not at studying they are very special. These issues are not given too much importance in this every day busy life. Parents nor teachers try to understand a child, they want everyone to be top notch but raising this issue and giving it importance has made Indian cinema very special thanks to amir khan, moving from romance and family drama these sorts of films is very important not only for parents but for today's generation. Understanding a child is very difficult. and i believe this movie has been successful in capturing the child's mind and presenting it to all that are unclear of such syndrums that occur in life. I can't think of any movie on this planet which can make a difference...It does NOT matter what kind of FILM you like, YOU MUST SEE this one....I alway saw it 10 times! & I want to see it MORE...but I am IN LA, today is the last day...I wish I could see more... Darsheel, Aamir... thanks so much for this movie! It has to be one of the best movies made in the history of bollywood. Nothing less than an oscar!!

TZP is a good movie. Darsheel has done a good job. But It's been so hyped that it lost its charm. It is a movie that can be watched one time but it doesn't have a repeat value. It is dragging at parts and is very preachy at times. It is one of the most exaggerated films of this year. It is completely unfair to compare the child artist's action to a matured performance of Shah Rukh Khan. This shows the immaturity of the people who are writing their reviews here. The boy deserves an award but not in comparison with SRK's performance in CHAK DE. SHAH RUKH's performance in CHAK DE is mind blowing. This kind of comparison puts a lot of pressure on the child. On one hand you are saying that we shouldn't put pressure on children and by making all these comparisons/recommendations you guys are putting unnecessary pressure on the child. This kind of comparison, in my opinion is unfair and uncalled for. Please stop exaggerating things.
