Long before the movie had released in india i had read the reviews of foreign critics and was amazed to see so much appreciation for a movie with an indian story and starcast. I would like to call this movie a mix between a madhur bhandarkar film & a yash raj film coz its a mix of both reality and fantasy. The movie is a story Jamal malik who survives the slums & crime world n goes on to win d game show 'who wants to be a millionaire' n his childhood sweetheart too.. The performances were very good (esp d youngest kid as jamal). Some scenes are very graphic and aren't easily digested n forgotten (blinding of an orphan). Well about A.R Rehman - He is d best in dis world but he has produced better albums before( Roja, Dil se, Taal, n even d latest Delhi 6)d soundtracks for this movie r good too n slowly grow on u.
