Watched Sam Bahadur & Dunki on New Year festive mood. Review of Sam Bahadur First Talvar, then Raaji and now Sam Bahadur by Meghna Gulzar. She is as talented as her father. Just see Talvar's case is still mystery. But Meghna presented honestly with logical facts findings straightforward. 2nd Film Raaji A well made Film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's novel Calling Sehmat, a true story of RAW agent who, upon her father's request, is married into a family of Pakistani military officers in Pakistan to gather and provide information to India, prior to the India Pakistan War of 1971. And now Sam Bahadur a biopic of Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw who was Hero of all wars fought by independent India till 1971. Sam Bahadur Film is well researched well justified with characters except Indira Gandhi. A poor weak casting of Fatima Sana Shaikh for role of Indira Gandhi. Presentation of Indira Gandhi character is totally unjustified miscast & weak. Rest each artist & each department has done good job. This Film shows life and four decades journey of Army service of Sam Manekshaw, lesser known things & event about this War Hero, today's generation and we all must know about him and his actions in detail. All these are visible with Cinematic excellence by Meghna and her Team. If we will not talk about Vicky Kaushal, it will be injustice toward Film and toward him. It is Vicky Kaushal who carried the film on his shoulder. It seems that soul of Manekshaw entered into him. He looks fierce. In such a way Vicky adopted the mannerism, body language, walking style, speaking style of Sam Manekshaw, its simply amazing and unbelievable. Just one show back I saw his performance as a Sukhhi in Donki and then as A Sam. It is simply charismatic. One thing definitely I must say Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw was very much concern about welfare and dignity of his soldiers and never bow down before PM or ministers. He always spoken his mind boldly with full conviction gracefully. No yes sir yes sir Haan ji Haan ji. That's why he is Hero of all of us. PM Indira Gandhi fully trusted him and honored him with First Field Marshall post despite opposed by many top level peoples. This film is a tribute to our National Hero and a must watch Film. My rating is 5 Star out of 5.

Decent film. Lacks a bit in the first part but performs well in the second half. I have seen Animal last and hated it except some acting performance, twists and this movie is at least much better. I would recommend everyone to go for a one-time watch. You can go at your own comfort for Sam Bahadur because I have seen a Ranbir Kapoor Disaster film before, I have seen it. It was a change for me. I liked many parts of Sam Bahadur and Vicky Kaushal film makes sense. Happy by him.

announcement - our Animal movie reviews from Bollywood Hungama are on google kindly read them. Special screening held for Sam Bahadur and Animal together. We have special screening 6 - 7 days before the film releases and will update you on the reviews. Kindly stay updated to Bollywood Hungama website 6 days before the release. Our apologies for the delay for Sam Bahadur review initially many of us were sharing review for Animal. Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal is an immensely strong film. We are shown the braveness of Indian soldiers being strong fighting the wars. Vicky Kaushal as Sam Bahadur show a lot of confidence in the film and has strict dialogues as the main army officer. After Uri the Surgical Strike Vicky again performs well in his role. We feel however there is a lack towards those dialogues in such a film which give seeti mar performance. Vicky Kaushal as Sam Bahadur is a strict and strong army officer who is very strict with his team wearing correct uniform on a day-to-day basis which impresses. Storyline is okay decent some parts there is a dip which is appreciated but that's okay. Additionally, when we see this movie, it looks like a 1970 old film the quality had to be improved. Acting is very strong of Vicky Kaushal. Plot is interesting. In the film we are shown group of soldiers taking their arms and head to practice for war etc. Overall, Sam Bahadur is an interesting film but at parts gets too a boring old documentary too and misses seeti mar dialogues which were required.
