I'm certainly disagree with the album ratings. i dont know why u guys dont like the music of this movie. ya some songs are disappointing but still other songs are really good which suits the genre of the movie. means ofcourse u can't expect melodious songs from such movie. Basically "Rock on","Saat dino me", n "socha hai" are good ones. i like saat dino me , its really cool one.

Firstly, this soundtrack is not for the average govinda music listening audience...Clearly Joginder Tuteja the official reviewer has a leaning towards this category It is a new experiment and it's wonderful to see a fresh and bold concept used in mainstream cinema music with amazing results... Truly Rock On !!

Well I just dont understand why people here are not giving a fair ranking I mean why people are giving extreme rankings..either they give 5 or 0.5 its clear that they are going by their instincts or just that they are doinf favouritism so plz my request to all be honest as many ppl follow this
Now with the review`s expected from the titile it has a few rock numbers..starting with Rock on titile track it just is quite good to listen quite different album from contemporary releases it without much hype like SNOOP or hardkaur or anything its a plain album (but not just a flop) which has a potential ! well Farhan Akhtar..one might have a notion that he cant sing (even I thought that prior to listening it) but as u hear him u dont feel like its a new voice very good music by SEL..its not the best album ever made but has a potential to be in the fame of KANK or DIL CHAHTA Hai for that matter.. its not for those who just want only heart touching songs.. it has good blend of easy lyrics and rock..there is a slow song also which also is good in its own place -Phir Dekhiye.. Honestly speaking havent heard zehrile so can comment on it..! hope this review helped u
my end note... Not a Bad album sure to be on ur collection if u are bored of all bhangra and hip hop

Please get a good person to review... All albums can't be reviewed by the same person... perhaps..adding few din chaks would have made this guy happy and give 4* rating... Jodhaa Akbar was rated as the worst album by this guy... thats the bench mark of this guy... anyway this album rocks from the word go.... if you dont know about rock then please you should have asked somebody else to do the review.... Never heard before on indian screen... its aka to Johnny Gaddar...

As a fan of rock music i must say that i truly enjoyed the music of 'Rock On !!'. It is something that is genuinely different from what we hear in usual hindi movies.(Not that those albums are not good). But if u ask a true blue rock fan from Inida he/she will say how happy they'll b 2 knw tht finally a commercial hindi film has an out-n-out rock album. I generally don't react to any1's comments but here i would like to say that the review on IndiaFM/BollywoodHungama.com was a little 1 sided. 'Rock On !!' is definitely not as bad an album as it has been mentioned in the review on this site.(With all due respect to Mr.Joginder Tuteja). If you have even a little bit of affinity towards rock music you'll enjoy this 1 for sure..... Cheers and ofcourse, ROCK ON !! ... \m/ ...

Trust me or not...this is THE WORST album I have ever heard in my life. Some Govinda albums are much better in taste. Completely tasteless, the vocals is distorted, music-less...nauseating experience

Shankar Ehsaan Loy team up with Javed Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar to strike gold. From the opening track 'Socha Hai?' through till the closing track 'Phir Dekhiye' the album is like a breath of fresh air for listeners who were beginning to wonder if dance music was all left for Indian film music to offer.
The instrumentation is true to the Rock genre with the right amount of melody and grunge mixed together. Farhan lends credible vocals to all his tracks and surprises you with an unbelievably soul stirring rendition of the the ballad 'Tum Ho Toh'. Exceptional.
Caralisa and Dominique sooth you with angel like voices. Suraj Jaggan displays some serious chops on Zehreele, although I feel that this song may be a bit too niche.
Javed Akhtar seems to have turned a new leaf with his writing on this album. Young, contemporary and very edgy... it is hard to believe that this is the same man who wrote the songs of a film like 'Jodha Akbar' earlier this year.
All in all, it is the sound and voice of the new generation. A must buy. A must listen. A new age classic! Rock On!!
