ROCK On! Is the surprise Hit of 2008. Reviewing the music of Rock On is a hard job as it’s to judge songs which type are mostly are not in my flavor. Anyway, at last I dare to listen it after a long time.
The first song is called “Socha Hai†which is sung by the talented Fahran Aktar! Well, the much energy that we need for a song like this may not have Fahran AKtar, which is the only thumb down. But the song extends till the last and his grave voice may leave the great impression. The tunes are as its need for an song like that, quite powerful.
Pichale Saath Dino Main is a well tuned track which sung by Fahran Aktar . Fahran sound ok in this song but the bingo lyric wrote by Javed Aktar and the different tunes of electric guitar done by SEL make this song a bit Hatke which is great in an album like this make this song a must listen.
ROCK ON comes next, which is energetically sung by Ehsaan Noorani has again powerful energy which is decent for a rocking track like this.
Picturized on Prachi Desai and Fahran Aktar, this sensational track is the best of Album! The sensational vocalist “Dominique†behind the song Tumari Meri Baatein has left a strong impact on the well-desinged romantic mood tunes by SEL. Her voice remind me of Thinka Thinka from Karam. A winner!
Suraj Jagan comes with this heavy metal track called “Zehreeleyâ€. The energy power with the electric guitar tunes takes the song to High. The energy level is what we need for a song like this.
Next song begins with soft and hard rocking tunes titled “Tum Ho Toh†change our opinion on Fahran Aktar which comes along well with this beautiful track. Love the Stage Shows and Heavy Rock? Well this will digest your envies.
Next song, “Sindbad the Sailors†sung again by Fahran and Raman Mahadeven is another highlight of the album. It has a bit same tunes as the titled track but this one is better than Rock On!!!. A great track again. Its has some reprised of at the last Tum Ho Toh which is extraordinary.
Next song is Pichle Saath Dino Mein (Live version) which sounds ok.
Phir Dekhiye is the last track which has sung by Caralisa. The amazing guitar tunes are awesomely made in this track which reminds us of a great music that loves by every guitarist. The vocal may not as strong as Yeh Tumari Meri Baatein but its another deserving affair.
On the whole, ROCK ON!!! Music is the best to came out from SEL trying to made another type of music tunes and hugely popular among the youngs as the genre suit to them. A hatke Album with great track like “Yeh Tumari Meri Baatein, Tum Ho Toh, Phir Dekhiye, Sindbad the Sailor†which probably like by all and some tracks like ROCK ON, SOCHA HAI, ZEHEREELAY and PICH LE SAATH DINO MAIN, which should be loved by reserved audience.

Shankar Ehsaan Loy wow the world with a revolutionary step in Bollywood music with Rock On!!.Never did i imagine that i cud include hindi songs in my list of favorite proper Rock songs.
Farhan Akhtar singing 6 out of 9 songs has an amazing voice.
The tile song 'Rock on' is a damn good number which starts off with the rock version of the lakshya music if u can recognise that.The lyrics are quite cool too.
'Pichle Saat Dino Mein' is again a crazy song.Lyrics are vague but make sense at the same time.The music is wonderful and also has a solo guitar piece midway which is just awsome and looks great on screen when Joe(Arjun Rampal) plays it.Infact this song has 2 versions, one a recorded version and a live version which is part of the film. The live version has Farhan speaking out and gearing the crowd which is quite like how its done in a rock concert.Also Farhan's voice modulations in this song is crazy!
'Socha Hai' which is the opening song of the movie is out of this world and again has a brilliant guitar solo, to die for.Lyrics agai-Radical.
'Tum Ho toh' in Adi's(Farhan Akhtar) words 'ek aisa gaana hai, ek soft ballad jo is album ko depth deta hai.' And he's not wronh its soulful!
The final performance is withe song 'Sinbad the sailor' which is a cool song...lovely lively music through the song ending with a small snippet of tum ho toh which is not by Farhan, but who joins in and gets the crowd roaring for more.
The only 3 songs not sung by Farha are 'Zehreelay',which is a song by their rival band, hence its loud and metallish but good nevertheless.
The other 2 are 'Phir Dekhiye' and 'Yeh Tumhari meri baatein' which come at the epilogue and midway respectively and are both sung by female voices...soft sweet, Applaudable. Good for a seren mood. Altogether, KEEP ROCKING GUYS!!! Hats off to all involved withe music. Lyrics, vocals guitaring, keboadr, drums.....everything is just too good!

Hello Everyone, I usually try to make up a review about an album before the release of movie. Here the case was twisted and I was not to sure about music but after watching the movie, my believe in talents like SEL FARHAN and JAVED AKHTAR proved to be RIGHT ON! Just Like ROCK ON!
Great Album as I love the genre anyways, not just biased but my fav genre. I totally agree with couple user reviews. Best song "Pichle Saat Dino Main" a track on term of "Purani Jeans" by Ali Haider very FRIEND ORIENTED days song. Tum Ho To awesome ballad. Farhan's rusky voice gels with music and all in all Music has some MAGIC! Karzz and this can't be compared. One is commercially talented team and other depends on talent in silence.
