Race is a boring thriller which did not grip for more than half an hour. there were too many twists so much so that the movie went on for approximately 2 hrs and 45 mins. for me a thriller should be tried to be made in 2 hours flat. if not then atleast the story should be gripping. there were boring performance, not so funny performance, and immature perfortmances by not so immature actors. a few songs were just dumped in for a specific kind of audience. for the role of the investigating officer an actor like piyush mishra should have been cast. sameera's role was just unnecessary. an actor like anil kapoor is wasted. saif is too stylish in the film, but no strong dialogues or scenes given to him. bipasha is average. after brilliant perormances in APAHARAN and CORPORATE this one was passable. Katrina should really improve her acting skills. enough of her glamorous roles. the action of the film was the talk of the town before the movie released, but where was the action. there were just 1 horse racing, the saif scene to save bipasha (what an age old action sequence. his re-entry was a dampener). the only saving grace of the movie is akshaye khanna. he was brilliant as the cunning and jealous brother. his facial expressions, his dialogue delivery has added a new freshness to his role of negative character. direction is average. camera work is ok. nothing new from the action department(the climax is still ok). songs gave me a biiig yawn. and ya bipasha basu's body double was used in the intimate scene with saif. these things shuld be taken care of as the audience is not so dum. it should look real.
