Of course, Pritam usually rocks with 2-3 songs and sucks in the rest. But in Race?? Only 1 song(Muj pe Do Jaado is disappointing and Pehli Nazar Mein being the pick of the lot. A 2 CD pack for 149 is not bad you know!
Race Saanson Ki and Race Is On My Mind are rather similar and rocking tracks with the guitar in the background deployed to great effect by Pritam. Both are Rocking!
Next comes Pehli Nazar Mein, which is the best song of the album and a crowd favourite as well, it is a romantic track with Atif Aslam singing it well!
Zara Zara Touch Me follows. Sung by Indian Idol contestant Monali Thakur, it is a rip-off from some Thai Song. Bad boy Pritam!
Khwab Dekhe is not included in the first releases of the album, but it is altogether mind-blowing
track by Monali an Neeraj Shridhar. Muj Pe Do Jaadoo is disappointing.
That about sums up Pritam's first complete album since Dhoom 2 which had quite a few first class singers. But in Race, he manages to achieve a lot with scond-string singers like Monali, Atif Aslam, Neeraj Shridar etc. Buy this or you are missing something special!
