What a pleasant surprise .The only reason I decided to give this movie a try was the director Mani shanker .He never repeats himself and always comes with a new story .His last movie TANGO CHARLIE was quite an under rated effort .16 December was fav as well .Rudraksh was a mess but atleast he tried something different .In MUKHBIR too he ventures into a new path altogether .Never before seen story which shocks you completely .This in my opinion is Manishanker's finest effort till date .Sadly the movie went totally unnoticed . Mukhbir starts quite slowly .In fact the first 15 minutes are very dull .The war in a jungle at the start looks straight out of Tango charlie and has a strong sense of deja vu .The romantic song that follows tests your patience .However story gets quite exciting when Sameer has to change his identity as a 'Vinayk Marathe' .The film is quite gripping thereafter .various scenes at this junction are masterstroke from writing point of view .Especially when the Mukhbir is asked to kill his own mentor .So touching and moving ! The sequence between Sunil Shetty-Susanth singh is another powerful one . However the final is bit absurd .One fails to understand why does not Rahul Dev kill Sameer immediately instead of giving him another chance ? Even the way Sameer dances in the rain is so weird!The climax looks like a rushed job . Sameer Duttani is simply outstanding .Never expected him to give such a poerful perfomance .You really feel sorry for his character.Om Puri is excellent .Sunil Shetty does well .Raima sen is a waste. Overall an excellent movie with brand new subject in the Indian screen . 4/5

Mukiibir, is gripping movie but big script flaws spoil it. The potential of the movies could have been better, as it does diffcult areas of movie pefectly but fails at simple things. The ending is just stupid, contradicts the whole movie. Spoiler warning: If agents were leaking information and goverment officials, why didn't anyone stop them. Sunil Shetty's character dies protecting the Samir, which didn't make sense if worried about his family a lot. And going gun-crazy on everyone was unrealistic. Considering he was agent he could easily done something else. The ending was stupid I didn't understand, how he hated his work and he felt upset. And Continued with his job.

Mani Shankar even though a HINDU is actually doing a movie that is a muslim propoganda movie. A movie that brings india closer to the GULAM (SLAVE) Indian times - the (Mugal era). It is quite possible that Mani Shankar was forced (threats) or paid to make the story take such a turn. It is very absurd when Mani Shankar wants us to belive that in order to pass the lie detector the hero had to convert to islam; if that was the case how did the hero pass the lie detector test when he lies about his Fathers name. This goes to prove that it is a sham what Mani Shankar is trying to say that the character had to convert. This is just muslim propoganda that is being shown to the indian public. Us Indians are just being brainwashed to think marrying a muslim is totally ok and now that they are showing public conversion in propoganda movies that even goes further to show that they are tryign to brain wash us to think converting to islam is ok for us indians. If this kind of stuff goes on the day where us indians (hindus, sikhs, christians) will have to fear the muslims even though we live in india. The same slavery times that the mugals put us through will be back in india. Even in today's date hindu and sikhs dare not enter areas (like purani-old Delhi) which is a muslim area. In our own country we have to be scared of the muslims. And with this kind of muslim propoganda the day is not far when we all will be tortured and killed the way we are in muslim countries (pakistan, kuwait, middleeast, bangladesh etc.).

fabulous, extremely well made, performances at their peak, flawless narration of an untold story.. this is what Mukhbir is .... one of the most powerful movies of the year.. a masterpiece of its genre .... Hats off to Mani Shankar .... its painful that such movies fails to fair well at Box office..just because many people are unaware of such masterpieces bcz of poor marketting by the Makers and rest who are aware are misguided by some CRITIC who says the movie is not worth watching since its not masala and won't do good at collections....such immature response to such a gr8 movie.
