This movie might not have been that bad, had there not been such great expectations. Yet the fact remains that there were great expectations and this movie utterly failed to meet them. When we all saw the trailers, we all probably expected a great, entertaining, romantic movie that we would feel good about when the last reel was done with. This was most definitely not the feeling I had. The story itself was one of the biggest problems. it was just plain BORING. the direction as well was an issue. Imtiaz Ali did a great job with Jab We Met, but fell short with this movie. It was just too abrupt, random, and it did not flow at all. The two stories going on at the same time had no smooth transtitions whatsoever and were sometimes confusing. And perhaps one of the biggest problems of all was saif and deepika, who had almost no chemistry at all. Deepika does look gorgeous and Saif pulls off the sardar quite well, and the story of young rishi kapoor is captivating at times, but this does not outweigh the negatives of this film, which disappoints me as this film could have been much, much better.

i must say all the critics need to check their film rating sense.LOVE AAJ KAL is so messed up a film..it is such a DRAG....and what is the so called genius imtiaz ali trying to do.?i really expected the film to be good...but its not even ok...its a BAD BAD film...its so boring...n WHAT A DRAG???i think the director got messed up in the head while making the film and it shows in the screenplay.and why is young rishi kapoor played by saif????they dont look vaugely similar?it could have been ranbeer??i must say i am so disappointed with the film.

The movie is a milestone wrt to love stories till date!!.hats off to director like imtiaz ali .such a movie can be made by a person who has felt love in its pure form .story shuttles back n forth ,runs parallel n amazing story telling.Excellent editing. Love story in it makes a lot of sense. Saif's acting skills is top notch,he proves he can be as serious as cool as a casanova. Deepika padukone-woow her acting is as beautiful as her looks,the way she emotes be it the funny side of the character in chor bazari or the drunk seen or be it the emotional scene where she burst in tears at climax(amazing one)or the one where she calls to confront to saif none of them look artificial or make u feel that someone is acting .meera n deepika can be said as same face of two coin. watch out for her expressions ...amazing Harleen-adorable Rahul khanna -apt for the role rishi kapoor-he is an institution neetu kapoor-coool

The film starts on the wrong note- and it continues on the same wrong note for over 2 hours! Its just too confusing, erratic, plotless. For sure it could have been a great piece of work, alas its just like khichdi! Saif is gratting, Deepika is screachy, Rahul is wasted, Rishi is dependable. Its a great script that is just gone all wrong. And like most of the films that you see today, the best scenes are all in the trailers. Dont waste your brains and time on this. Love NAA aaj NAA kal!
