Well I didn't really loved the movie. It was ok for one time view. Would have been more happy to watch it on dvd at home. Its not that a big movie. The best part are the songs. Too much love stories. 

The expectations: Well.... Just one word..... Tremendous..... And why not “Socha Na Tha” and…  

The expectations: Well.... Just one word..... Tremendous..... And why not “Socha Na Tha” and “Jab We Met” are one of the finest romantic films India has ever produced. And, after such great promotion the expectations reached a point where I definitely wanted to see the most perfect film. The story of the film is known to everybody. Hence, no guess about that. But, what is not known is the screenplay and scripting! Here, I would like to add something. Imtiaz may not have got the Best Director award so far but he has got a technical award “Best Dialogues” award for Jab We Met and both his previous movies had a great script and he has the ability to understand perfect scripts. The screenplay is the simply the best I have seen in the recent times. Although, the script looses the grip in second half and the film becomes little boring and the benchmark Imtiaz has set with his previous films wasn’t achieved with this one. The acting department: Saif has grown as an actor over the years is again a known fact to the world and he carries his role with grace this time also. Deepika Padukone has really surprised me. She has given her career’s best performance in Love Aaj Kal. I had expected a lot from her and she has proved them right. Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Khanna are top notch, Neetu Singh was quite nice (This was the first time I saw her in a film) and the mystery girl was beautiful. She didn’t have a bigger role but was good in whatever she got. The music is loud and soulful. I must add that the duo of Pritam(Music Composer) and Irshad Kamil (Lyricist) have given one of the best album of 2009. All songs are excellent and you all can see those becoming chartbusters in the coming days. The Direction: Imtiaz Ali you are god for me. You put up the emotions correctly. I can see the innocence in your films. Right from Socha Na Tha to Love Aaj Kal, the innocence in your films is seen in every scene. The direction is outstanding. I think as a director, this is his best work and he deserves whatever he desires. He has made a simple story into a very complex film and that has worked in its favour. The feel of the movie is damn good. Jab We Met had trains, Love Aaj Kal has bridges. Fantastic. The final verdict- Now, that the film has taken an excellent start, it should emerge as one of the biggest hit of the year. The film is definitely one of the best in the recent times but it disappointed me little; maybe because I had a lot of expectations and thought it to be in the line of Jab We Met which had a straight screenplay. This film is little complex and viewers will definitely need to watch it carefully to understand the whole film. Overall, a very well made film with many USP’s like the direction, the feel, the acting and the music but also a few flaws which can be looked upon.

now to make one thing clear it is not a 4 star movie mr adrsh how can u miss guide an audience in such a maneer i watched the movie n it dosent seem to be that its a complete misgudiance to the viewer so that producer can earn the money nothing is good in the movie nor the story line up nor the direction how the story is dragged n completed in hassel such a beautiful story can be narrted in a beautiful manner but completely potrait in different manner so hated why u people make the movie just to fool the people n earn money by giving such a foolishly rating god bless u mr adarsh n hope it increase ur perception towards the films just fabrication nothing else

A warm good evening to One & All. This movie - Love Aaj Kal is actually a fusion between the two generations which explains that though things got changed from past to present...Love is still called "Love" today as well. Starcast includes Veer Square one is Mr. Rishi Kapoor who in his young age looked like the new Veer..which is our producer...Mr.Saif Ali........It is a cute story with two very cute girls, Meera(Deepika) & Harleen(Cutie pie).....Both acted really well & kept the love alive throughout the movie...... Discussing story is seriously a crime......please don't read this.......It creates Pre Conceived Notions - Which is BAD :(

watched it today afternoon.great movie in all respect.all the actors done a great job specially saif and deepika.Both Saif and Deepika come up with their career-best performances in LOVE AAJ KAL. You sud watch the full movie,bcoz beech mein lagega kya ch**yap chal rha hai.kuch chamkega nhi,but at the end you feel wat a movie.And the credit goes to director Imtiaz Ali.He is the one of best direcor in bollywood we have.Suprab dialouges(just like jab we met),god screenplay,direction and acting

Imitiaz Ali, the name is enough to catch your attention. I loved JWM like everyone else did. I went to watch LOVE AAJ KAL because it has been by the same person, who wrote and directed JWM. I went in with massive expectations. Luckily, It did it live up-to the mark, but sadly, to an extend. on the whole Love Aaj Kal is a simple film, made in the most simplisitc way. Filmmaker Imitiaz Ali's direction is flawless, but his script isn't. The first hr isn't as catchy as the second, one surely expected more from him! Nonetheless, LAK is a worth a watch. Fantastic Direction, Great Production Value, First-Rate Performances and Foot-Tapping Music don't leave you disappointed. At the box office, the business will be excellent at the multiplexes, while single screens will remain on the lower side.

Locations, story, screenplay and songs deserve a an applause but what's the best is the spontaneous and natural acting of the pair. Kudos to Saif. Let me tell all of you that if deepika goes this way in Bollywood there's no stopping her to become the best actree in the tinsel town. Simply because she's got the beauty and the acting of both in her blood.
